Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Review & Best Deal

Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge review

The Samsung Galaxy S6 edge is a very striking handset it’s the first phone to have dual curved displays.
It a very attractive phone to the eyes and puts butterflies in the stomach and make you weak at knees. Samsung has finally made it; made something that is not only powerful, but looks fantastic too.

It's certainly not cheap though, with the entry level 32GB model rocking a wallet trembling SIM-free price tag of around £700 (around $1030, AU$1320).
If you fancy 64GB or even 128GB of internal storage you're looking at approximately £749 (around $1120, AU$1430) and £829 (around $1180, AU$1500) respectively.
Shop around though and you'll be able to find it a little cheaper than Samsung's official site with the 64GB model available for around £635, $915 (about AU$1290) off contract.
That makes the Galaxy S6 Edge more expensive than the iPhone 6 plus, a handset.
The Galaxy S6 Edge arrives alongside the Samsung Galaxy S6, and the two handsets share pretty much identical specs. The S6 Edge is slightly thicker (7mm vs 6.8mm), slightly lighter (132g vs 138g) and packs an ever so slightly bigger battery (2600mAh vs 2550mAh), but that's it.

The Samsung edge is just a stunning phone with great design and specification.  It’s packed with everything you need or imagine of. It’s a phone from the future.

iPhone6 Review & Best Deals

Why has been the iPhone6 release? Despite record sales, Cupertino brand was going thought a fall. Not this year or the next. Something big was needed to keep it current as the brand has been trading on the same for four years already.
The iPhone6 and its bigger brother the iPhone6 plus were invented to keep apple, at the sharp end of a market that was starting to lust after powerful, big screen smartphones with clever and premium design.
Here is a good deal on amazon iPhone6:-

Judging by the sheer avalanche of money Apple has made in its Q1financials that seems to have been the case, with one iPhone being sold every 10 seconds apparently. You can pick up the iPhone 6 in Space Gray or the more standard silver or gold. Whichever one you want is up to you, but there had better not be a shortage of the champagne gold colour again this year. The iPhone 6 certainly addresses a number of the problems Apple had developed, coming with a much larger screen (although not dramatically increasing the size of the phone) a boosted processor, better camera, improved battery and crucially: overhauled design. This is a real sense that this iPhone is really rather different from the others. There will be some out there missing the old screen size, saying they don’t want a bigger display on their phone – but nearly all of those people won't have spent any appreciable time with a larger device, and I believe that a good portion of you thinking you need a smaller phone will quickly come to appreciate the power a bigger handset brings without hurting quality.

When I handled the phone for the first time I found some issues that still swirled. But the iphone6 has answered a lot of the problems I had with the previous iteration Apple’s handset.

Design
Let’s take a look at what people will wonder when having the phone in there hand. How ill actually feels in hand?
It’s a big start for Apple, when it’s admitted that the sharp design of the last four iPhone models is a little outdated and needs to up the ergonomics to really compete.

Here we are looking at one of the thinnest and sleekest handset in the market. It has got a strong combination of metal grey, space grey and gold which looks and feel very premium and the way the screen curves into the chassis gives it a slight lozenge feeling.

The iPhone 6 has a very business and at 6.9mm thin it nice to hold even if the new Samsung S6 edge is out and is 6.8mm think. It does not give the same feel as the iPhone6. Phone companies that push harder on the ergonomics are a better choice although – HTC One M9 bows out at the back and fits a little better in the palm, but it’s quibbling. This iPhone just feel really well made.

Apple has always favored a fatter phone than the rest of the market and when place on a desk it looks great and does feel great in the hand too. Other phone does impress more but not like and Iphone6 does.

Other phone companies use plastic strips that flows through the top to bottom of their devise. Given metal is a nightmare material to try and get radio signal to penetrate, these are clearly there to offset that.

Plastic does give a good performance for signal for the most part; it’s nothing amazing to the eyes. Here iPhone did a good job placing the plastic part of the radio signal in a very discrete manner but to my eyes personally they're a little unsightly and ruin the sleek back of the iPhone 6, and their presence seem at odds with Apple's design ethos.

The power button is other big design change it has been moves to the right hand side of the handset. This make sense, and the phone is now larger 138.1 x 67 x 6.9 mm hitting the top of the handset is a much harder task, so moving the button is the right thing to do.

The other big design change is to the power button, which has now been moved to the right-hand side of the phone. This makes a lot of sense, and given the phone is now a larger device at 138.1 x 67 x 6.9 mm hitting the top of the handset is a much harder task, so moving the button is the right thing to do.

The metallic keys or button does have a little wiggle to them when running you hand up and down to sides idly. You will notice a slight looseness to the power button and volume rocker. I am being a little critical here as for the price you are paying it not the sort of things you would expect to see.

Other important design aspect here is the camera which extends beyond the surface of the rear of the phone. It’s good to see that Apple is not willing to compromise on camera quality in order to just to crack in a thinner phone.

The camera which extends beyond the surface of the rear is a little worrying as the phone won’t sit flat on the table and could see scratches appearing, again Apple thought about that and has covered the lens with sapphire glass which seems pretty safe.

Let me one thing clear: the iPhone6 is another iconic handset in terms of design. It’s not the best looking phone on the market but definitely right up there, and for the price I would expect nothing less.

Finally these are accessories that you might need when buying and iphone6:
