Initially, the company adopted a globe version for IBM logo. Through the years, it was redesigned and improved several times. Inside the rectangle, the words IBM are inscribed or written in a highlighted bold fashion to attract the intention of people better and the eight parallel lines are shape in equals sign which is use in all great formulas or after all great formulas.

A black tint is used in a gracious way in the IBM logo; it is one of the most professional colours that can be used for logo designs. Black explains the strength of the company and gives a new direction and more elegance to the logo.

IBM logo represents a very simple and hard to forget typeface. The letters are written in a bold font which projects decent characteristics of the firm and its products. Alphabets in IBM logo have horizontal stripes which furthermore underline the attributes of IBM industry.
